INFORMATION ON HEMP FARMING

Growing Plan

USA HEMP 1 plans to start with 320 to 600 acres this year by using seed. provided by ranch Manager and Partner Dr. Rocky. It is a high-CBD, low-THC hemp. They will be holding deposits and seed orders until permits are issued.

“ Dr. Rocky has recommended for our acres, we should start our seedlings in a greenhouse, transplant them out into the field, and this is the route we’re taking doing that, when transplanting we’ll also lay down a film of plastic with an irrigation drip line for the plants,” Rocky says, adding the plastic helps with weed control and retaining moisture

Since hemp has no approved chemical insecticides or herbicides, Our farm is going to use small equipment and hand-weed every other day until the canopies of the plants finally close the gaps in the rows that give sunlight to weeds.

We're going to be watering every two to three days, to get those plants well-established, keeping an eye out for insects, aphids, that sort of thing, says Rocky

Dr. Rocky says he’ll control weeds with 4-foot tillers at first and then move up to narrower equipment as the canopy closes.Just normal weeding in a big garden,” Rocky says, adding we have full-time employees to handle this part of the growing process.

“When the hemp starts to get closer to 0.2%, we will startt harvesting, so testing is really important,” and we will stay on top of it he says.

CBD Hemp Cultivars

Our hemp cultivars for CBD extraction are rich in CBD and low in THC content. This is the single most important characteristic we looked for in a cultivar for producing hemp-derived cannabinoid.

Our CBD-rich hemp cultivar is able to produce huge crops with an abundance of flowers and high CBD production.

Our hemp cultivar is able to grow well under a wide spectrum of weather conditions. It should be able to withstand wind, frost, drought, hails, and most outdoorsy weather conditions.

CBD Hemp Harvesting

Our CBD hemp harvesting is done with special equipment and tooling to make sure the flower head remains intact and clean. Rough handling would damage the resin-rich trichomes so give special attention to our haevesting.

Hemp Drying & Storage

Drying of hemp (post-harvest) is a crucial step. Having proper drying facilities and adequate ventilation during storage is therefore super important.

CBD Hemp Cultivation Style

In contrast to other types of hemp crops, we will cultivate CBD hemp as a female-only crop. The spacing between our plants runs about 4 to 6 feet.

Harvest Timing

The best time for harvesting is right before the flower head turns fully mature. The moment they begin to dry and ripen is when you harvest them.

Harvest timing will also depends on the CBD and THC testing of the leaves and flower head levels.

THC Testing

During the cultivation of the CBD-rich hemp, our farm runs THC tests during cultivation to make sure that the THC levels do not exceed specified legal limits.

CBD Extraction From Hemp

After harvesting, drying, and processing – the resulting product is now ready for CBD extraction. This will happen at a separate facility. CBD-rich oil comes from the biomass or flower material.
